“Verily he who has nothing of the Qur’an in his heart, is like a house (which has been) destroyed.” [At-Tirmidhi]

“Read the Qur’an. For verily it will come forth on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its readers.” [Muslim]

“Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah (good deed) from it (i.e. his recitation), and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is (considered as) a letter, rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.” [At-Tirmidhi]

Oftentimes the most obvious  good deeds are the ones we relegate to banality. Let’s not let that happen.  Or if it already has, start rebuilding your house today!  You know what you need to do regarding this challenge.  I’m not going to tell you.  What I will ask for is some encouragement.  Almost all 400 of you have been pretty silent.  Send us your words of inspiration regarding a specific connection you have made with the Quran.  Every little things helps…

May ALLAH make our intentions sincere, our actions strong, and our rewards secure.  Ameen.
